TOURNAMENT POLICY

Application and Fee deadline-November 19, 2021. Teams will not be scheduled if payment is not made by this date.

NTSSA TOURNAMENT RULES/REFUNDS Chapter 8.19. Any team that withdraws from a tournament less than two weeks from the start of the tournament or does not complete all required scheduled games, may not be allowed to enter any sanctioned tournaments until said team appears before the NTSSA Cup & Games Committee for a hearing explaining their actions and may forfeit their entry fee and performance bond, if one has been posted. All teams not accepted by the tournament will be refunded in full within ten (10) days of the notification of rejection, or notification to the teams accepted, whichever comes first. (Posting on web sites can be considered notification of teams accepted.)

Texas Cup is a STAY-TO-PLAY tournament so be sure to contact Lead Travel for all travel accommodations.

All teams are expected to be in town and ready to play at 8:00AM on Friday, November 26, 2021. No exceptions will be made for any team.

 

Teams withdrawing once accepted and scheduled will not be invited to the Texas Cup for the next year and will forfeit the entry fee to the tournament. Teams will also be reported to their home state association for disciplinary action.

Weather Provisions:

  1. In the event of inclement weather, the tournament committee will have the authority to relocate, reschedule, and/or change the duration and/or format of any game(s) or cancel any games that have no bearing on group rankings.

  2. Preliminary games terminated after one completed half of play because of weather will be considered officials as of the time of termination. Second half does not need to begin.

  3. In case of inclement weather, please await electronic tournament updates (text and email) and check the tournament website for updates.

 

General Provisions:

  1. Under no circumstances whatsoever, will the Texas Cup Tournament Committee, Sting Soccer Group, or Sting Soccer Club be responsible for any expenses (Including the tournament entry fee) incurred by any team. This includes any situation where the tournament or any games are cancelled in whole or in part.

  2. The tournament committee’s interpretation of the rules shall be final.

  3. The tournament committee’s interpretation of these rules shall be final.

  4. The tournament committee reserves the right to decide on all matter pertaining to this tournament

  5. All Rules no provided for here will refer to the NTSSA, USYSA, and FIFA rules for application

 

Refund Policy

  1. If inclement weather cancels the tournament prior to the start of the first scheduled game, a maximum of 50% of the entry free will be retained by the tournament to cover the start-up cost of the tournament.

 

Roster Sizes

Participation in the Texas Cup is open to accepted teams composed of 8 or fewer for age U7 & U8 4v4, 12 or fewer players for age U8 &U9 - 7v7, 16 or fewer players (including up to 5 guest players) for age U10-U12, 18 or fewer players (including up to 5 guest players) for U13 to U14, and 22 or fewer players (including up to 5 guest players) for ages U15 through U19.

 

Academy Team Player Requirement: Players are required to be registered with their home association and have obtained an academy form signed by their registrar or be US CLUB Carded. Roster Requirement: Complete Academy Tournament Roster Academy Tournament Roster must be signed by a Registrar or US Club roster must be provided.

Team registration will be completed online. All documents must be submitted by the deadline (11/19/21) or the team may forfeit the entry fee. No changes will be allowed once documentation is submitted for registration.

 

All Teams are required to enter their roster into TGS. Players not appearing on the TGS event roster will not be eligible to participate in the event.
